Our Journey

Life has taken us down some wild paths. Chris spent nearly three decades in the hair industry – but you may also remember him as the guy who won Fear Factor and walked away with a million-dollar prize. Lauren built her own career in the industry too, eventually earning the crown of Mrs. Texas. Together, we’ve built a salon, built a family, and chased opportunities that pushed us outside our comfort zone.

But no matter what was happening in our careers, we always found peace in the outdoors. Camping and glamping gave us space to reconnect, unplug, and be present. Trips through Zion National Park and Utah sparked an idea: what if we created a place like this, right here at home?

That dream kept circling back to Chris’s parents’ property: – 12 acres of land with a winding creek, shady ravines, and natural ponds—just one hour south of Dallas. For years, it sat untouched. We decided: this is the spot.

Now, that vision is becoming Ferncrest Chambers Creek, set to open early 2026.

We’re putting our hearts, energy, and resources into making Chambers Creek a reality. And we don’t just want to share the finished product—we want to share the journey. Our Vision for Chambers Creek

We’re starting with 10 luxury domes tucked under the trees along the creek. Over time, we’ll grow to 30 sites, add hot tubs and campfires, and keep shaping this property into the kind of place we’ve always wanted to visit ourselves.

We picture couples sneaking away for a romantic weekend, families unplugging together under the trees, and friends gathered by the fire. This won’t just be another getaway spot – it’ll be a place to reset, reconnect, and create lasting memories.

There’s a winding creek running through it, shady ravines that stay 8–10 degrees cooler in the Texas heat, ponds full of wildlife, and thick trees that make you feel far away from it all—even though it’s only about an hour south of Dallas.
